Entry 050: My 50th Post…Remembering My Dad

DSCN0259

How fitting…My parents were together for 50 years and this is my fiftieth post! One year ago today, I lost the only MAN that meant the world to me, My father! Words cannot express how much I miss him. As I write this post, Whitney Houston is playing and I am drowning in tears. If you know me, you know that I am a true Daddy’s girl! We had the most special relationship and living without him has been painful, to say the least. I am trying everyday, to be strong and continue his legacy, but it is the most difficult thing to do. I constantly wonder if I’ve made him proud. He told me many times, so I should just take comfort in that. One of the many things my Dad taught me was to never give up on anything or anyone and I strive to make people better through my actions and interactions. I don’t want to go on and be sad about losing him, but I can’t help it.

My Dad was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor. He lit everything and everyone up around him and his smile could brighten up the darkest of days. Today, my mother, sisters, son, niece and nephew visit his grave at the National Cemetery to reflect and remember the great man that he was! He shaped all of our lives and I don’t know where any of us would be without him.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post! Until next time!

XOXO Kimsue
